Jesus communicated in multifaceted grace, at great level of understanding, and with excellent expressions. Hence, the Bible informed us in Luke chapter four that all in the synagogue were filled with amazement. This gives us an understanding that He did not function as a mere man, and as He is, so is the new creation in this world (1 John 4:17 ESV). Let us find out more!

Reference: Luke 4:22 English Standard Version (ESV) "And all spoke well of him and marveled at the gracious words that were coming from his mouth. And they said, "Is not this Joseph's son?"'

All, not few, bore witness to Jesus and marvelled at the grace of the words that were proceeding out of His mouth. The next question was "isn't this the carpenter's son?" - His background information. In other words, they traced His background instantly to fathom out His hereditary right to such uncommon wisdom and knowledge. Why? Man's history is unmistakably clear and easily understood. The basic storyline had been the fall of man that introduced negative expressions, ordinary talks and worldly communications.

Now watch this: To them, Jesus' communication was different; however they traced His background wrongly. He wasn't really the Son of Joseph, but the Son of the Holy Spirit. When an angel delivered the message of Jesus' birth to Mary, Mary asked the angel, "But how can this happen? I am a virgin." The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:34-35 NLT). Did you grasp that? They were entirely wrong in their debate about Jesus' historical background information. He is heavenly and he communicated heavenly realities, full of grace.

1 Corinthians 15:48 says, "As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven" (NIV). Simply put, earthly people speak like the earthly man, and heavenly people like the heavenly man, Christ! Hear me, if you are born again, you are heavenly and so, you ought to have "zero" business with unpleasant and empty words. Why? The same Holy Spirit that mightily influenced the birth of Jesus in the flesh is your Father. Jesus promised that He would never leave us as orphans, by asking the Almighty Father in heaven to grant us the gift of the best Father - the precious Holy Spirit. He said, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you" (John 14:16-18 NKJV).

And truly, Jesus did not leave us orphans; Allos Parakletos came to dwell in every born again Christian. Now to avoid fatherless behaviour (such as untamed tongue, unwholesome talks, vile speeches and disgraceful comments) that will cause you to stay or appear weak in your Christian walk and become a victim of life's challenges, grow in the knowledge of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit of truth on a regular basis. The Spirit of God seasons our words with true grace. In other words, God's wisdom is revealed in our communications by the Spirit.

No wonder Paul says, "Yet we do speak wisdom among those spiritually mature [believers who have teachable hearts and a greater understanding]; but [it is a higher] wisdom not [the wisdom] of this present age nor of the rulers and leaders of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom once hidden [from man, but now revealed to us by God, that wisdom] which God predestined before the ages to our glory [to lift us into the glory of His presence]" (1 Corinthians 2:6-7 AMP).

The gracious words we speak convey the message of wisdom among the mature, which also means - the right and wise association. You will come to a better understanding of this association in part 3. So its not the usual communication of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. The (MSG) says, "Its not a popular wisdom or the fashionable wisdom of high-priced experts. God's wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of His purposes."

Beloved, divine wisdom produces beautiful and gracious communications that stir people's heart and position them for the best. Don't be careless in speech. Ephesians 4:29 says, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen" (NIV). Stay tuned for part 3 of this topic. Shalom!
