In the final part of this topic, I want to remind us of the exaltation of Jesus to the right hand of God, which is the demonstration of the fullness of God's glory, and this means that Jesus Christ can exercise the greatest and superior power in heaven and on earth which belongs to God Himself. But how did Jesus pay the price to attain such level of glory? Through His obedience to death (see Philippians 2:8-11 NLT). More below!

Reference: Isaiah 60:2 New Living Translation (NLT) "Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the LORD rises and appears over you."

Indeed, I made time to comtemplate the glory of the new covenant which apostle Paul described by saying, "In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new way. So if the old way, which has been replaced, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new, which remains forever!" (2 Corinthians 3:10-11 NLT).

Question: What makes the glory of the new covenant much more glorious? It was the coming of the Lord Jesus in human flesh, that led to His atoning sacrifice on the cross, His death, burial and victorious resurrection witnessed by the disciples and proclaimed today by the whole body of Christ. It is overwhelming in the sense that it brought the gift of the Spirit to us as an enduring effect, thereby establishing beyond all doubt that Jesus is the full manifestation of God's glory.

To that effect, in His epistolary expression, Peter said, "For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw His majestic splendour with our own eyes when He received honour and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to Him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy" (2 Peter 1:16-17 NLT).

I also mentioned in the previous articles that the full blaze of this glory accompanies the very face of Christ, according to 2 Corinthians 4:6. It says, "For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ" (NIV). This is exactly the same as John's apocalypse regarding His testimony about Christ Jesus in heaven. Revelation 1:16 says, "...His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance" (NIV). Beloved, that's the accurate description of the glory displayed in the face of Christ.

In summary, the Bible noted, "For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea" (Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV). The prophetic words of prophet Habakkuk are the reason why the Gospel is now being preached to all, and by our persistence in extending the grace and glory of God to the world around us, we are reaching the hearts of all sorts of men; particularly those who are alienated and seem very far from God, as well as those who seem unreachable in various aspects of human endeavour.

Right now, there are still many places where lost souls are functioning with zero or lack of knowledge of the Gospel truth and so, they may not have been reached for Christ. These are those from whom the Gospel is still hid, who sit in deep darkness without any atom of the knowledge of gospel truth that exudes the glory of God, but because of prophet Habakkuk's prophetic words, the great light of God's glory will locate and shine upon them through you and me, such that the Gospel will no longer be confined to believers only.

Child of the Most high God, pursuant to the great commission in Mark 16:15 (ESV), be confident, well equipped and ardently prepared to preach to every creature under heaven, and in doing so - by the Spirit, we shall make known to the entire creation, the knowledge of this glory, as the waters cover the sea. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 145:5; Isaiah 6:3; Psalm 115:1; John 1:14.

Exuberant Declaration: I acknowledge that risen Jesus has ascended up in victory and He is highly exalted to the highest place at the right hand of God. This is my daily testimony in my world, until the whole earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Hallelujah!
